The GÖKTAN system is designed to enable long-range ground-to-ground engagements and has successfully launched ASELSAN’s TOLUN munition with pinpoint accuracy. Originally developed for air-launched operations, TOLUN has now been adapted for ground-launch applications, demonstrating its operational flexibility and enhancing Türkiye’s guided munition capabilities.
Developed in collaboration with DELTA-V, the GÖKTAN system integrates advanced command-and-control and fire control technologies. These features allow for mission planning, optimized firing sequences, and enhanced precision targeting. The system supports 360-degree firing capability, enabling engagement of critical targets without requiring platform movement.
During the test, after separating from DELTA-V’s rocket system, the TOLUN munition deployed its wings and transitioned into guided flight mode. It successfully struck its designated target with exceptional accuracy, validating its effectiveness in real combat scenarios. The system also supports waypoint-defined targeting, centralized and independent operational modes, multi-target engagement, and sequential firing.
This milestone demonstrates ASELSAN’s continued commitment to strengthening Türkiye’s defence capabilities through the development of platform-independent precision strike solutions. The successful test highlights the growing capabilities of the country’s indigenous defence industry in providing state-of-the-art technologies for modern battlefield operations.
ASELSAN’s President & CEO, Ahmet Akyol, praised the achievement, stating: “We have reached a key milestone in equipping TOLUN with ground-launch capability. As we continue to develop force-multiplier systems, this advancement enhances Türkiye’s precision-strike capabilities and expands its operational flexibility.”
