Steve Parker, interim President and CEO of Boeing Defense, Space & Security, called the milestone “a testament to Boeing’s groundbreaking lead in developing collaborative combat aircraft capabilities for current and future applications.” He added, “This milestone demonstrates the maturity of our program in a growing market.”
The MQ-28 is designed to operate alongside crewed aircraft, and the current testing phase will culminate in demonstrations later this year. These will involve joint missions with aircraft such as the E-7 Wedgetail and F-35 fighter jet, testing the MQ-28’s ability to support complex operational scenarios.
The 100th flight also showcased the aircraft’s new operational paint scheme, now on display to the public for the first time at the Avalon Air Show. This marks a significant visual and technological step forward in the MQ-28 programme.
