At CYPSEC 2023 were presented, the existing solutions and capabilities of modern technology in Defence & Security to the Cypriot authorities, in the context of today’s unstable international environment that is full of security challenges.
At the conference there were presentations and speeches by representatives of major international Defence Industry players such as DAMEN, MBDA, EUROSPIKE, AIRBUS, SPACE HELLAS, SAFRAN, CS Group, BlueBird Aero Systems, ARQUUS, KERSHIP-Naval Group, ARKEOCEAN, TAC-Lights, Cypriot companies that are already active in the field of Defence & Security such as EIGHT BELLS, SKYLD Defence & Security Ltd, SWARMLY, while relevant recommendations were made – placements of institutional and non-institutional Organizations such as Hellenic Manufacturers of Defense Materials Association (SEKPY), the Hellenic National Defence General Staff-GEETHA, the European Army Interoperability Centre-FINABEL, the French Maritime Industry Association-GICAN, the Cyprus Organization for Standardization-CYS, the Cyprus Information Protection and Privacy Association-CAIPP, DSA – Defense Standardization Advice, while the Hellenic Institute for Strategic Studies (HEL.I.S.S.) supported the event by organizing an autonomous session developing topics of particular interest to Cyprus and Hellenism.
The conference was attended by the Honorable Minister of Defense Mr. Michalis Giorgallas, BG Neophytos Pachoulides, on behalf of the Chief of the National Guard of Cyprus, Lt Gen Dimokritos Zervakis, with senior officers, Ambassadors & High Commissioners, Defence Attachés & Senior Advisers, senior representatives of the Ministries, Cypriot Organizations, Police, Fire Brigade, Civil Defence, JRCC of Larnaka, Officers & Non-Commissioned Officers Associations as well as several executives of companies with local and international activity, highlighting the event, an institution in the Eastern Mediterranean region.
