In his statement, Hamad Al Marar expressed that the agreement with Baykar is a “significant milestone” in EDGE’s ongoing collaboration with Turkish defence companies. He highlighted the strategic importance of combining EDGE’s advanced solutions with Baykar’s proven platforms to address evolving market needs, particularly emphasising the advantages of working within Turkey’s robust defence sector. According to Al Marar, this partnership reflects EDGE’s commitment to agility, innovation, and supply chain security.
Baykar’s CEO, Haluk Bayraktar, echoed these sentiments, noting that the UAE has become Turkey’s largest trade partner in the Middle East. Bayraktar praised the collaboration, calling it an opportunity to support “independence and security” for both nations. He underscored the significance of joining forces with EDGE, one of the world’s leading defence organisations, to develop and deploy cutting-edge UAV solutions integrating EDGE’s smart munitions, a move set to enhance both countries’ defence capabilities and market reach.
