EM&E Group has presented its new ODIN 6x6 anti-drone system at Eurosatory in Paris. The Spanish defence and security technology group introduced the system on 16 June during an event attended by authorities and representatives from the international defence industrial and technological sector.

ODIN 6×6 is a comprehensive mobile counter-UAS solution. It combines detection, identification, soft-kill and hard-kill neutralisation capabilities in a single system.

The system is designed to detect and identify threats at an early stage. EM&E Group said the full configuration is integrated through a command-and-control system.

ODIN 6×6 detects threats in real time using four radars with three-dimensional precision. It also includes an electronic warfare system that jams enemy drones by emitting interference to block or distort their communications.

In addition to soft-kill capability, ODIN 6×6 includes several complementary hard-kill systems. EM&E Group said these are intended to allow the system to respond to different types of threats.

The system incorporates two interceptor drones. These fly towards an enemy drone using optical guidance and then impact it.

ODIN 6×6 also includes the GUARDIAN 2.0 PRO remote weapon station. The weapon station is fitted with a 30 mm M230LF cannon for drone neutralisation.

The system also incorporates a micro-missile capability. EM&E Group said this expands the turret’s capability through the launch of laser-guided missiles.

All elements are integrated on the FEROX armoured vehicle. The company said the mobile platform provides a qualitative improvement in tactical mobility and combines modular architecture with advanced ballistic protection.

EM&E Group said ODIN 6×6 is a technological milestone based on industrial cooperation among major international companies. The company said the partners combined their capabilities to offer an advanced defence solution.

With ODIN 6×6, EM&E Group said it is reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the European defence industrial and technological base. The company said the system addresses the challenge posed by drones through a comprehensive counter-UAS solution
