France to transfer Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine

By Defence Industry Europe

During the NATO Summit in Vilnius, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that France would transfer a batch of MBDA Storm Shadow cruise missiles to Ukraine.

The decision by the French authorities is another signal of strengthening the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In May, the Secretary of Defence of the United Kingdom revealed that Storm Shadow missiles were provided to Ukraine from their own stockpiles.

The weaponry was integrated with frontline Su-24 bombers, using old pylons from decommissioned Panavia Tornado fighter jets.

The Ukrainians first utilized the Storm Shadow missiles around May 11th, targeting command centers, logistics facilities, and other important military assets.
