Iran unveiled Meraj-532, a new kamikaze drone

Iran is accelerating the development of advanced armed UAVs.

The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) unveiled the Meraj-532 which they claim is high-precision kamikaze UAV.

The new UAV is equipped with a 50-kilogram warhead. The specifics were disclosed in an interview with the semi-official Tasnim news agency on Sunday by the organization’s leader, Ali Kouhestani.

Kouhestani claims that the Meraj-532 UAV can fly for three straight hours at a maximum altitude of 12,000 feet and has a phenomenal range of 450 kilometers.



The Iranian official claimed that the Meraj-532 simplicity of assembly and flight preparation is one of its primary strengths, making it ideal for quick response missions.

According to Kouhestani, the UV can be quickly put together and prepared for flight, enabling prompt deployment in urgent situations.

Iran has been supplying armed UAVs to Russia for use in Ukraine. These UAVs are also supplied to Iran’s proxies in the Middle East.
