The International Test Pilots School trains test pilots, flight test engineers and other aerospace specialists. The International Tactical Training Centre in North Bay, Ontario, provides advanced flying and tactical instruction for fighter aircrew.
Bringing both organisations into the NFTE framework expands the military aviation training capacity available to Canada, NATO members and other allied countries. ITTC’s investment in the Leonardo M-346 Block 20 Advanced Jet Trainer forms part of that Canadian-based capability.
The accreditation process examined safety, governance, regulatory compliance, infrastructure and operational delivery. Training quality, supervision and duty of care were also assessed, providing customers with independent assurance that the company’s operating environment meets NFTE requirements.
Executive Chairman Giorgio Clementi said the accreditation recognised investment across the group’s aircraft, simulators, infrastructure, personnel and training methods. “NFTE accreditation is an important endorsement of that investment and of the professional framework we have built across ITPS and ITTC.”
Chief Executive Dave Lohse linked the decision to the wider readiness of NATO and allied air forces. “We are proud to support NATO and Allied partners while contributing to the readiness and interoperability required for collective defence.”
CCC President and Chief Executive Bobby Kwon said: “This recognition positions ITPS for continued growth with Canada’s allies and like-minded nations. We look forward to securing more government-to-government (G2G) contracts with ITPS to help expand the reach of their training around the world.”
ITPS Canada plans to continue investing in aircraft, synthetic training systems, instructors, facilities and personnel. The company said the additional capacity would help meet growing allied demand for qualified military aircrew.
