While the U.S. Air Force has selected the General Atomics YFQ-42A and the Anduril YFQ-44A for Increment 1 of the CCA programme, additional competitions are currently ongoing in the United States. The forthcoming Increment 2 phase is also expected to provide further opportunities for industry participants.

Kratos appears to be closely monitoring the U.S. Marine Corps’ MUX-TacAir programme (Marine Air Ground Task Force Unmanned Expeditionary Tactical Aircraft). This initiative is focused on acquiring CCAs designed to operate alongside the Lockheed Martin F-35B in both combat and surveillance missions.
