Lithuanian Defence Materiel Agency signed a contract with the German company Daimler Truck (via local company Veho Lietuva) for 371 Mercedes-Benz military trucks: 230 Arocs and 141 Zetros.

The value of the contract is approximately EUR 216 million.

Daimler Truck will deliver trucks in 2023-2030, the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence informed.

“Modern military equipment allows our soldiers to better prepare for logistical operations and ensure the necessary mobility. From the lessons of the war in Ukraine, we know how important it is to have high-quality equipment capable of transporting the necessary equipment and ammunition to any point,” said Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Arvydas Anušauskas.

Lithuanian Army currently operates eight Zetros and twenty-five Arocs trucks delivered by Daimler.

According to the Lithuanian Ministry of National Defence, Daimler Truck will deliver thirty-four UNIMOG U5000 tactical trucks to the Lithuanian Army this summer.

In addition, by the end of the year, the German company will supply the Lithuanian Army with 120 Mercedes-Benz G-class military vehicles.
