At the MSPO defense exhibition, Lockheed Martin and WZE held a ceremony highlighting an upcoming production order for PAC-3 MSE attitude-control systems. The components control the interceptor’s trajectory and support its hit-to-kill engagement capability.
The planned order follows the verification of WZE’s production line in 2025. That process certified that the Polish-made components met U.S. government standards for quality, safety and compliance.
WZE is scheduled to deliver its first attitude-control systems to the United States in 2027. The work adds Poland to the PAC-3 MSE production network at a time of rising demand for the interceptor.
“Poland is a rich source of engineering talent and offers strong manufacturing capability,” said Brian Kubik, vice president of Lockheed Martin PAC-3 Programs. “Our partnerships in Poland strengthen the supply chain while delivering leading capability to our customers around the globe.”
“Together, we’re building a more resilient defense ecosystem,” Kubik added. Lockheed Martin said the offset arrangements also bring manufacturing work, engineering roles, technology, training and technical assistance to Poland.
The company has reached other PAC-3 offset milestones with WZE and PGZ in 2026. Earlier in the year, Lockheed Martin and PGZ completed a hardware-in-the-loop demonstration of technical capabilities developed in Poland.
Lockheed Martin awarded WZE a purchase order in August for Enhanced Launcher Electronic Station and J-Box units. Those components will support planned Polish production quantities.
The partnerships allow Lockheed Martin to source more PAC-3 MSE subcomponents from Polish industry. They are also intended to improve production efficiency and expand manufacturing capacity within Europe.
PAC-3 MSE uses hit-to-kill technology to destroy incoming threats through direct impact. Lockheed Martin said its Polish partnerships would support the interceptor program’s long-term production requirements and reinforce transatlantic defense cooperation.
