American defence giant Lockheed Martin has received an order to produce an unspecified number of PAC-3 air defence interceptors.

According to the statement of US Department of Defense, the contract is worth USD 2.4 billion.

All ordered PAC-3 air defence missiles will be manufactured by Lockheed Martin by the end of 2029.

The PAC-3 interceptors produced under this contract will be supplied to the armed forces of the US Army and the armed forces of other countries that have purchased the Patriot air defence system under the FMS procedure.
