The Mangart 30 was shown integrated on the Patria 8×8 armoured vehicle, a core element of Slovenia’s modern mechanised units. Developed entirely in Slovenia, the system is equipped with a 30mm cannon and advanced sensor technology for precision engagement.
Valhalla Turrets describes the system as combining “unmatched precision” with high mobility and modularity, specifically designed to meet contemporary battlefield requirements. In a company statement, it said, “With the Mangart 30 we’ve proven that Slovenia has the knowledge, expertise, and determination to develop some of the most complex and advanced systems in the global defense industry.”
The system was developed in close cooperation with the Slovenian Ministry of Defence and the Slovenian Armed Forces. This partnership ensured the Mangart 30 meets national operational needs and aligns with broader integration goals, including NATO interoperability.
As part of its strategic concept for ground mobility, the Slovenian Armed Forces will deploy the Mangart 30 on the latest Patria AMV platforms. Valhalla Turrets noted that the system is “ready to compete on any global market.”
The Mangart 30 features a modular design, allowing for future upgrades and compatibility with advanced fire control, targeting, and communication technologies. This flexibility supports the long-term evolution of Slovenian defence capabilities.
The Patria vehicle itself is produced in partnership with Finnish defence firm Patria and is central to Slovenia’s modernisation efforts. Fitted with the Mangart 30, the vehicle enhances its operational role in both reconnaissance and combat scenarios.
The Mangart 30 will now undergo additional testing and evaluations. These trials will precede its full-scale deployment within the Slovenian Armed Forces.
