MBDA described the agreement as a framework for long-term cooperation between the two companies. It includes exploring joint initiatives, knowledge sharing and collaborative projects intended to support innovation and deliver enhanced value.
The initial areas of cooperation are deep strike and counter-UAS capabilities. MBDA said both areas are important for ensuring operational superiority in high-intensity conflicts.
The companies plan to exchange technological expertise and explore joint production programmes. They also intend to introduce innovative solutions as the basis for close cooperation, with the envisaged goal of establishing a joint venture.
MBDA said the two initial areas form part of a broader strategic partnership programme. Further details of the wider programme are expected to be announced in due course.
The company said it is committed to supporting Ukraine’s defence industry. MBDA said it will support the autonomy of Ukrainian capabilities and contribute experience and expertise in the development, production and support of missile systems.
Ukrainian Armor brings practical experience in the design, development, integration and production of defence products. These include armoured wheeled vehicles, mortar systems, ammunition, artillery shells, unmanned ground and aerial systems, and related components.
The agreement reflects the shared intention of MBDA and Ukrainian Armor to use their respective strengths to address emerging opportunities and challenges for Ukraine. The companies said the cooperation is intended to combine European technological expertise with Ukrainian battlefield experience, manufacturing flexibility and innovation potential.
MBDA said the partnership aims to build a new architecture of defence cooperation. The framework is focused on strengthening capabilities relevant to Ukraine’s operational requirements and future industrial development.
