Northrop Grumman has opened a 120,000-square-foot facility in Gilbert, Arizona, expanding its capacity for space integration, testing and mission support. The new A1 building will serve national security, civil and commercial space programs.

The facility adds office space, classified work areas and integration and test facilities to the company’s Gilbert campus. Northrop Grumman said the investment also expands workforce capacity.

The company presented the opening as part of its long-term investment in Arizona’s advanced manufacturing and space engineering capabilities. It linked the expansion to skilled job creation and a stronger industrial base in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area.

Senior Northrop Grumman leaders attended the opening alongside local, state and federal elected officials. Community partners and employees also participated in the campus event.
