Northrop Grumman secures IBCS simulator contract for Poland

On June 9th, the United States Department of Defense announced that it has signed of a contract with Northrop Grumman Corporation for the construction and delivery of an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Battle Command System (IBCS) simulator to Poland.

The work is scheduled to be completed by June 2025, and the value of the contract is USD 19.7 million.

The Department of Defense indicated that a portion of the work will be carried out in Poland, meaning that the Polish defence industry will have a role in the implementation of this contract. However, no specific details were disclosed in this regard.

 

 

Poland is the first export user of the IBCS system, which is expected to become a key component of the Polish air defence command system in the near future. In addition to the Patriot PAC-3+ systems, it will also integrate other elements that are being purchased or deployed by the Armed Forces.
