This five-year contract will ensure continued availability of spare parts and sustainment services for 11 NH90 helicopter variants used by the participating nations. The deal also supports an automated and integrated supply chain designed to improve operational readiness across the fleet.
NSPA General Manager Ms Stacy Cummings stated, “This contract confirms NSPA’s commitment to the NH90 program and its operational effectiveness. Our mission is to provide efficient, effective and responsive solutions to our customers and this framework will enable and facilitate Nations’ requirements for spare parts and sustainment.”
Mr Michael Kohlhaas, General Manager of NAHEMA, highlighted the strategic nature of the agreement: “This renewed contract marks another important milestone in our ongoing commitment to providing outstanding support to the Nations for their NH90 fleets, while also highlighting the strong and successful collaboration between these two important NATO Agencies.”
NHIndustries President Mr Alex Aloccio noted the significance of long-term cooperation, saying, “The signature of the LIC5 contract is a remarkable example that the cooperation, developed 21 years ago has now reached a considerable degree of appreciation from our valuable Customers, who operates 11 helicopter variants. NHI fully understands the importance of the Customer experience and is continuously working alongside its Partners to improve NH90 operability, affordability & serviceability.”
Under the agreement, NSPA will continue to provide logistical support through its automated ASD/AIA S2000M-based system. This system offers access to a catalogue of over 28,000 spare parts, not including engines and consumables.
The NH90 is a twin-engine, medium-sized, multi-role helicopter developed by NHIndustries, a joint venture of Leonardo, Airbus Helicopters and GKN Fokker. As Europe’s largest military helicopter programme, over 500 NH90s have been delivered globally, accumulating more than 400,000 flight hours in a wide range of environments and conditions.
