Patria announced on 29 January 2025 that it had acquired Belgium-based digital defence platform provider ILIAS Solutions, with the required authority approvals now concluded. The parties did not disclose the acquisition price, and the business will formally transfer to Patria on 1 September 2025.

“This strategic milestone marks a significant step forward in Patria’s capability to have a leading position in the digital transformation of defence. With ILIAS Solutions now part of Patria group, we are delivering faster insights, greater asset visibility, and smarter sustainment solutions to our customers”, said Pekka Ruutu, Executive Vice-President, Sustainment Solutions at Patria.

Patria confirmed that its OPTIME service concept will be powered by ILIAS, as the ILIAS Solutions software suite will provide life-cycle management process support and advanced analytics capabilities. Both the ILIAS Solutions company and its software suite will continue to operate under their own names.

“Patria and ILIAS Solutions are highly complementary, and it is inspiring to see how seamlessly our teams work together. We see significant growth potential in ensuring optimal equipment performance both in the European market and globally,” said Jean-Pierre Wildschut, Chief Executive Officer of ILIAS Solutions.

ILIAS Solutions operates offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, the United States, Denmark and Australia, and is recognised as a well-established brand in its markets. Patria highlighted that the acquisition would allow the company to expand its global reach in digital sustainment and defence solutions.
