Finnish defence company Patria and GDELS-Santa Bárbara Sistemas (GDELS) have announced the start of ASCOD Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) assembly in Latvia. The initiative coincides with the fifth anniversary of Patria’s operations in Latvia and the first anniversary of the Defence Partnership Latvia (DPL) production facility in Valmiera.

The first ASCOD IFVs are expected to be fully operational by autumn 2026.

Patria NEMO is a turreted, remote-controlled 120 mm mortar system for the needs of modern warfare and crisis management, which calls for mobility, protection and accuracy. It is an indirect fire support system, but due to its direct fire capability, it can also be used for self-defence.

Finnish defence company Patria Oy announced that its Japanese partner, Japan Steel Works (JSW), is preparing to launch licensed production of Patria AMV XP 8×8 armoured vehicles in Japan.

Finnish defence company Patria has secured €45 million in European Union funding to spearhead the development of the Artificial Intelligence Warfare Adaptive Swarm Platform (AI-WASP).

EuroTrophy has announced a collaboration with Finnish defence and technology company Patria to integrate the Trophy Active Protection System (APS) onto the Patria AMV XP 8x8. The first demonstrator vehicle was unveiled in March 2025 during Patria's Arctic Events in Rovaniemi, Lapland.

Denmark has officially joined the Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme, becoming the fifth nation to participate in the multinational initiative.

The Slovak company CSM Industry has initiated the process of technology absorption for the production of the Patria AMV XP 8x8 armoured vehicles. This company has already started manufacturing the first vehicle under the supervision of staff from the Finnish defence solutions provider Patria.
