Patria to present AMV XP 8×8, 6×6 vehicles and Nemo mortar system at IDET 2025 in Brno

By Defence Industry Europe

Finnish defence company Patria has confirmed its participation in the International Defence and Security Technologies Fair (IDET), which will take place in Brno, Czech Republic from 28 to 30 May. IDET is a major defence technology exhibition in Central Europe, attracting a wide international audience of industry professionals and trade visitors.

At IDET, Patria will highlight its wheeled vehicle expertise by presenting the Patria AMV XP 8×8, equipped with the EVPU Turra 30 remote-controlled turret, and the Patria Nemo 120mm mortar system. These systems were selected by Slovakia in 2022 and Hungary under the ZRINYI programme, respectively.

“Patria AMV XP 8×8 is a state-of-the-art modular, and robust armoured wheeled vehicle providing superior firepower, protection, and mobility,” the company stated. The AMV series is combat-proven and has been chosen by nine nations, with over 1,600 units sold.

Patria will also exhibit the Patria 6×6, a modular and high-performance wheeled vehicle known for its simplicity, robustness, and affordability. It supports modern protection and high mobility, and its flexible design accommodates various mission-specific configurations.

As part of the multinational Common Armoured Vehicle System (CAVS) programme, more than 850 Patria 6×6 vehicles have been ordered, with over 200 units already delivered. The programme remains open to European nations with similar tactical needs through mutual agreement.

The exhibition will further feature Patria Nemo, a turreted, remote-controlled 120mm mortar system designed for mobility, protection, and precision in modern conflict scenarios. With direct and indirect fire capabilities, including fire-on-the-move and Multiple Rounds Simultaneous Impact (MRSI), Nemo also serves as a self-defence solution.

Patria TREMOS, another mortar system on display, offers high mobility and firepower in a mobile format. It can be mounted and fired from various 6×6 and 4×4 vehicles using standard 120mm or 81mm mortars, ammunition, and ballistic data.

The company will present Patria OPTIME, its new through-life capability service concept for sustaining military equipment. This modular service integrates engineering know-how and data management to support fleet maintenance, upgrades, and supply chain operations, all developed in close cooperation with customers.

In electronic warfare, Patria will showcase its ARIS and ARIS-E systems, which offer advanced ELINT capabilities for radar signal collection, analysis, and emitter geolocation. These systems provide situational awareness and detailed signal analysis in both real-time and offline modes.

Also featured is Patria MUSCL, a passive radar system offering stealthy surveillance and tracking of various targets, including UAVs and artillery munitions. It enables affordable and flexible area or point surveillance, functioning independently or within a networked setup.
