Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) joined the Aerospace, Security and Defense Industries Association of Europe based in Brussels. This will allow the company to promote the interests of the defence industry in dialogue with the European Union institutions.

The ASD Association represents over 4,000 companies, actively supporting the competitive development of the defence sector in Europe and around the world. It has direct members operating in 19 countries, including over 40 large European companies and national associations. President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A. Sebastian Chwałek was nominated as a representative of the company to the management board of ASD and to act as director of the association, while Jakub Roszkowski, member of the management board of PGZ S.A., was nominated to act as a permanent deputy representative of the company with voting rights.

“Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa has been operating in its current form for only a decade. But we are already an important partner and participant in supply chains for all global players in our sector. The war in Ukraine has caused a change in the European Union’s approach to cooperation in the field of broadly understood security and defense. By joining ASD, we not only confirm the increasingly stronger position of the Polish arms industry on the European continent, but above all, we open up new opportunities for dialogue with other entities and increase the chances of participating in large, multi-year programs implemented by entities associated with ASD, which in their activities use, among others, incl. from EU funds,” said Jakub Roszkowski, member of the management board of PGZ S.A.

ASD focuses on issues related to civil aviation, defence, security and space. The association is committed to maintaining and developing a competitive sector. To achieve this strategic goal, ASD analyzes, formulates and sets policy positions for industry on key strategic sector issues, working with industry and EU institutions on a range of market developments and technology research projects. ASD also coordinates European and international policy, communication, analysis and provides support on the requirements and needs of its members, offering them the best opportunities to network and develop in their sector.
