The facility is expected to become operational in 2028 and create more than 120 jobs. The investment is equivalent to 375 million zloty.
The project complements a $200 million investment announced in February for a seventh isothermal forging press at Pratt & Whitney’s Columbus Forge facility in Georgia. Together, the two investments are expected to increase output of critical engine parts, including rotating compressors and turbine disks, by 30%.
Both projects are expected to be fully operational by 2028. They add capacity at separate stages of the company’s engine manufacturing operations.
“Six months ago, we were talking about this investment as a plan and an opportunity to strengthen Poland’s position as a strategic center of excellence for Pratt & Whitney,” said Piotr Owsicki, general manager of Pratt & Whitney in Rzeszów. “Today, we begin turning that plan into reality.”
Rzeszów already produces GTF fan drive gear systems, F100 static structures and key F135 parts. The site also provides manufacturing and technology development capabilities for turboprops and auxiliary power units.
Its engine production includes the PT6, PW200, PW500/600 and PW800 families, serving helicopters, business jets and general aviation aircraft. The new facility will add rotating-component manufacturing to that existing workload.
Poland is RTX’s largest investment and employee base outside the United States. The group employs more than 9,500 people in the country across Pratt & Whitney, Collins Aerospace and Raytheon.
