The Digital Shark system made its debut at Euronaval exhibition in Paris, where industry professionals witnessed its full array of cutting-edge features. Built to tackle the increasingly complex radar threats of modern warfare, Digital Shark leveraged state-of-the-art technology to autonomously detect and neutralise radar threats.
This third-generation system employs an Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) for quick and precise beam steering, paired with a high-power jammer designed to provide robust offensive countermeasures. Additionally, Digital Shark includes Digital RF Memory (DRFM) technology, which enhances its ability to deceive and disable even the most sophisticated radar systems.
Digital Shark complements Rafael’s established portfolio of naval electronic warfare solutions, which includes the C-GEM active decoy, reinforcing the company’s position as a leader in advanced naval defence systems. Together, these solutions enable comprehensive protection, helping naval forces maintain a strategic advantage in complex maritime operations.
VP Ran Tavor, Head of Rafael’s Naval Systems Division, stated, “Rafael is honoured to support a NATO member with the Digital Shark ECM system, reinforcing our commitment to pioneering innovation in naval electronic warfare and ensuring the resilience and superiority of our allies at sea. The Digital Shark’s 3rd Generation capabilities not only elevate electronic defence but also bolster offensive responses, adapting to the diverse challenges presented by today’s advanced radar threats.”
