Under the theme ‘Leadership in Unmanned Digital Ecosystem and Robotics’, Rheinmetall and its subsidiaries, MIRA GmbH and Yardstick Robotics, will present their latest innovations. The focus will be on advanced robotics, drones, unmanned systems, and teleoperated driving, catering to both military and law enforcement applications.
Among the highlights of Rheinmetall’s exhibition are several cutting-edge unmanned aerial and ground systems. These include the LUNA NG VTOL, a tactical fixed-wing drone with vertical take-off and reconnaissance capabilities, and the Fixed Wing Vehicle FV-002 and Rotary Wing Vehicle RV-002, designed for close-range surveillance. The company is also unveiling the Fixed Wing Vehicle FV-015 target drone and the Robotics L walking robot.
MIRA GmbH, a subsidiary specialising in automated mobility, is demonstrating its expertise in teleoperated driving. Using remote control technology, MIRA allows vehicles to be operated from distant locations, enabling new possibilities in transport and logistics. The company is also involved in the POQUASIA project, which focuses on post-quantum secure Internet of Things (IoT) applications for teleoperation.
The POQUASIA initiative, supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, aims to enhance cybersecurity in cloud-based applications. It contributes to the European IPCEI-CIS initiative, which is working towards a seamless multi-provider cloud-edge continuum. Visitors to Xponential Europe will have the opportunity to experience MIRA’s technology firsthand by taking a ride in a teleoperated shuttle on public roads.
Rheinmetall’s subsidiary, Yardstick Robotics, is presenting its AI-driven robotic solutions for extreme and unpredictable environments. The company specialises in automating high-risk tasks with robots such as the YARO Cobot, which is designed for rugged outdoor applications. Other innovations on display include an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) for marine monitoring and the MagnetCrawler, an intelligent system for inspecting metallic surfaces in industrial settings.
