Roke, a UK defence and security company, has announced an expansion of its strategic partnership with Kaigai Corporation to enhance access to its advanced technologies in Japan. The agreement significantly broadens the availability of Roke’s Electronic Warfare (EW), Cyber, Resilient Position Navigation and Timing (RPNT), AI-enabled surveillance, and secure communications solutions through Kaigai’s established network.

This development builds on a foundation of successful cooperation between the two companies and aims to support Japan’s evolving defence and security requirements. The move strengthens both firms’ commitment to promoting national security and advancing technological innovation in the region.

Paul MacGregor, Managing Director of Roke, stated: “Japan represents a key strategic market for Roke, and this partnership allows us to deliver greater value to Japanese defence and security stakeholders through localised support and expanded access to our technologies.” He added, “This announcement comes at a time of increasing demand for advanced defence technologies in the Asia-Pacific region, and underscores both companies’ dedication to supporting the evolving needs of allied nations.”

Masayoshi Yamazaki, President of Kaigai Corporation, said: “This partnership marks a pivotal step in our mission to bring world-class defence technologies to Japan.” He continued, “Roke’s proven expertise and innovative capabilities align perfectly with our vision for a safer, more secure future.”

The expanded collaboration will also include knowledge exchange programmes and enhanced technical support to ensure smooth integration of Roke’s systems into Japan’s defence infrastructure.
