Saab reports strong growth in Q3 2024, driven by high demand for defence solutions

Saab has reported robust results for the third quarter of 2024, as European nations continue to replenish their defence stocks amid rising demand. The company's order bookings surged by 41%, reaching SEK 21.2 billion, largely driven by growth in its Dynamics business area.

 

Organic sales grew by 17% to SEK 13.5 billion, with all business areas contributing to this increase. Operating income rose by 38%, amounting to SEK 1.2 billion, resulting in an improved EBIT margin of 8.8%, up from 7.5% in the same period last year.

Net income also saw a significant rise, reaching SEK 972 million, with earnings per share increasing to SEK 1.79. Saab’s operational cash flow improved dramatically, hitting SEK 3.2 billion, bolstered by substantial customer payments.

The company continues to invest in expanding its capacity, automating production, and building new facilities to meet future demand. Saab reiterates its full-year outlook for 2024, expecting continued organic sales growth, EBIT improvement, and positive operational cash flow.
