The Sea Giraffe 1X Multi-Modal (air and surface search) radar will be on display at booth 701 from April 8-10, 2024.

The SG1X (SG1X) is a tactical X-band Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) solid-state radar. The SG1X on display will be in the highly mobile and flexible “Deployment Set” configuration which is adaptable to almost any naval, surface, or ground platform. SG1X – with its compact format, low weight, and low power consumption – is easy to install and integrate without impacting platform stability.

SG1X characteristics and capabilities:

  • Performs air and surface surveillance simultaneously
  • Surveillance can be conducted in parallel with Rocket Artillery Mortar (RAM) detection
  • Counter – Unmanned Aerial System (C-UAS) through the ‘Drone Tracker’ function
  • Detection of small targets and fast reaction time, e.g., drone and small Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) at an update rate of 60 RPM
  • Supports electronic counter-countermeasures (ECCM) with side lobe blanking and cancellation
  • High accuracy three-dimensional (3D) information for all targets
  • Target classification
  • Target identification to weapons systems
