Sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT has completed the acquisition of ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH, which was agreed last year, with effect from 2 April 2024 after receiving all official approvals. ESG is a leading platform- and manufacturer-independent system integrator as well as an established technology and innovation partner for defence and security. The acquisition adds strong design and system integration capabilities to HENSOLDT's product and solutions business and creates a national champion in defence electronics.

In February, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH and Omnisys Ltd. signed an exclusive agreement to cooperate in the field of Battle Resource Optimization (BRO) for Air Defence and Air Surveillance.

The OCCAR-EA COBRA Programme Division and Elektroniksystem und Logistik GmbH (ESG) have prepared a new Data System Software (DS SW) version for the French and German COBRA Systems. This follows the recent FR COBRA ATLAS Sub-Assembly retrofit, with dedicated software version, and the need to have a common DS SW version for DE and FR COBRA fleets.

The OCCAR-EA COBRA Programme Division and Elektroniksystem und Logistik GmbH (ESG) have prepared a new Data System Software (DS SW) version for the French and German COBRA Systems.

During Timber Express 2023, ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH supported the Bundeswehr in testing all forms of tactical data links between the participating entities and was thus able to contribute to the success of the exercise. Among other things, the ESG tested the connection between the Joint Terminal Attack Controllers, equipped with the ESG software EAGLE2 for digitally-aided close air support, to various weapon systems such as the Tiger attack helicopter or the H145M special forces helicopter. Further link connections were implemented via the Link 16 network as a radio network and as a “wire network protocol” with the Joint Fire Support multi-link gateway. ESG took part in the exercise as part of the projects “Dismounted Joint Fire Support Team”, “Joint Fire Support multi-link gateway” and “Joint Fire Support Coordination Group” to support the system users.

The HENSOLDT Group announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH.

Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH has been awarded a contract for the procurement of simulators for aptitude testing for the Bundeswehr's aviation service and flight management service. These will be used for Phase III of the aptitude test for fixed-wing aircraft pilots.

ESG has been awarded a contract for the procurement of simulators for aptitude testing for the Bundeswehr’s aviation service and flight management service.

As part of a live demonstration at the Hardthöhe in Bonn, the Bundeswehr showed the two heads of state the capabilities of the "defence system against unmanned aerial vehicles" (ASUL) developed and supplied by ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. The successfully introduced ASUL drone defence system provides the Bundeswehr with all the necessary capabilities in a stationary overall system for field camp protection as part of a holistic air defence system: With the modular counter-UAS system, small unmanned aircraft systems can be detected, classified and identified as well as countered in real time. It was a special honour for the ESG team to actively support the comrades of the German Armed Forces under the leadership of the German Air Force during the demonstration in front of the Federal President and his state guest.
