ESG has been awarded a contract for the procurement of simulators for aptitude testing for the Bundeswehr’s aviation service and flight management service.

As part of a live demonstration at the Hardthöhe in Bonn, the Bundeswehr showed the two heads of state the capabilities of the "defence system against unmanned aerial vehicles" (ASUL) developed and supplied by ESG Elektroniksystem- und Logistik-GmbH. The successfully introduced ASUL drone defence system provides the Bundeswehr with all the necessary capabilities in a stationary overall system for field camp protection as part of a holistic air defence system: With the modular counter-UAS system, small unmanned aircraft systems can be detected, classified and identified as well as countered in real time. It was a special honour for the ESG team to actively support the comrades of the German Armed Forces under the leadership of the German Air Force during the demonstration in front of the Federal President and his state guest.

At the end of November 2022, the North Rhine-Westphalia (NRW) police announced its decision to procure ESG's ELYSION software. From now on police forces in NRW will use ESG's highly specialised Counter-UAS software for the best possible protection against drones. The decision to procure the software was preceded by intensive testing on behalf of the responsible State Office for Central Police Services – ELYSION was put through its paces for a good year, particularly in the context of its usability to secure major events.
