French Navy demonstrates new capabilities with successful F21 torpedo Test [VIDEO]

The French Navy successfully tested its next-generation F21 torpedo by sinking the hull of the decommissioned Aviso ‘PM L’Her.’

The French Navy has successfully launched air defence missiles from two of its warships, the air defence frigate Chevalier Paul and the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle. This operation took place just hours before the ships departed for the AKILA mission.

The French Navy has successfully launched air defence missiles from two of its warships, the air defence frigate Chevalier Paul and the aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle.

The French defence procurement agency (DGA) has successfully completed its delivery of the last of six H160 helicopters, initially ordered in 2020 and 2021 from Airbus Helicopters, Babcock France, and Safran Helicopter Engines. This final aircraft has been stationed at the Lanvéoc-Poulmic Naval Air Base.

The French defence procurement agency (DGA) has successfully completed its delivery of the last of six H160 helicopters, initially ordered in 2020 and 2021.

As part of the SMDM contract ("Systèmes de Mini Drones aériens embarqués de la Marine"), Survey Copter, an SME and Airbus Defence and Space subsidiary, expert in the design, production and operational support of light tactical unmanned aerial systems (UAS), has signed an additional firm order with the French defence procurement agency (DGA) to supply the French Navy with 15 onboard systems (30 aircraft) of Aliaca fixed-wing electric UAS, plus associated training and integrated logistics support. These new systems will be delivered from 2024 onwards, and will be used to equip new ships and ship types, and to enhance their onboard capabilities.
