U.S. Marines from the 3rd Littoral Combat Team (3d LCT), part of the 3rd Marine Littoral Regiment (3d MLR), conducted simulated maritime interdiction using the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS) in the Luzon Strait on 1 June 2025. The operation formed part of Exercise KAMANDAG 9, an annual bilateral training event with the Philippine Marine Corps aimed at enhancing combined defence and humanitarian capabilities.

The Marines established a Fires Expeditionary Advanced Base (EAB) on a strategically located island in the Batanes Islands, deploying the NMESIS system via KC-130J Super Hercules aircraft.

At the International Defence & Security Exhibition FEINDEF in Madrid, General Dynamics European Land Systems (GDELS), in partnership with KNDS, has introduced the NEMESIS, a state-of-the-art tracked artillery system. This innovative self-propelled artillery piece is based on the ASCOD platform and is equipped with the fully automated 155 mm / L52 Artillery Gun Module (AGM) from KNDS.

On 26 November 2024, the U.S. Marines of the 3d Marine Littoral Regiment (3d MLR), 3d Marine Division, officially received the Navy-Marine Expeditionary Ship Interdiction System (NMESIS). The weapon system, a mobile, ground-based anti-ship missile launcher, was handed over during a ceremony at Dewey Square, Marine Corps Base Hawaii, attended by U.S. and partner military representatives.
