Teledyne to supply 1,000 Black Hornet drones to Ukraine

By Defence Industry Europe

Teledyne FLIR Defense has announced that it will supply an additional 1,000 Black Hornet drones, along with spare parts, to Ukraine as part of an order from the Ministry of Defence of Norway.

The pocket-sized drones are well-suited for operations in GPS-denied environments and are capable of transmitting live visible and thermal videos.

Last year, the company entered into a four-year agreement with the Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) to deliver these unmanned aerial vehicles, with the contract valued at approximately USD 48 million.

Furthermore, Norway had previously donated nearly 300 Black Hornet systems to Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2022 through the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine, as confirmed by the company.
