Danish defence and aerospace company Terma has reported a robust performance for the 2024/25 fiscal year, with a 49% increase in order intake reaching DKK 3.9 billion and a 37% rise in earnings before special items and tax. Revenue also grew by 9% year-on-year to DKK 2.9 billion, reflecting continued global demand for advanced defence and security solutions.

Improved operational efficiency and disciplined execution supported these results, strengthening Terma’s financial position and enabling further investments in innovation and critical capabilities. The company also welcomed Denmark’s largest pension fund, ATP, as an investor and new member of the Board of Directors.

This strategic partnership is set to enhance Terma’s ability to pursue both organic and inorganic growth, while supporting substantial investment in new technologies. A key development this year was the launch of SCANTER Sphera, Terma’s new drone detection radar, marking its entry into the drone and counter-drone market.

“The needs of our customers are evolving rapidly, and that requires a different pace – both in how we develop and how we deliver,” said CEO Henriette Hallberg Thygesen. “With solutions like SCANTER Sphera, we are combining high technology with agility, ensuring that our customers receive operational value faster.”

The SCANTER Sphera is positioned to address growing security concerns related to drone threats and infrastructure protection. “Entering the drone and counter-drone domain is a natural next step in meeting this urgent need with the right technology,” added Thygesen.

Geopolitical developments are also driving greater defence investment across Europe, reinforcing Terma’s focus on supporting regional resilience and autonomy. This aligns with the company’s long-term strategy and builds on its existing partnerships in the region.

The company’s success has been driven by a strong organisational effort and a commitment to agility, innovation, and employee empowerment. Employees are engaged early in complex projects, helping to accelerate development and improve delivery timelines.

“Our achievements this year are the result of the dedication, expertise, and strong commitment shown by all of our employees across the organisation,” Thygesen concluded. “Their professionalism and drive are what enable us to deliver complex solutions at pace – and to continuously raise the bar for what we can achieve together.”
