Ukraine explores defence industry investment and collaboration with American companies

A Ukrainian delegation presented detailed plans for business development and investment in Ukraine, focusing on opportunities in the defence sector, during a meeting with representatives of major American companies. The event was held at the Bank of America headquarters in New York.

 

The delegation included Deputy Minister of Defence for European Integration Serhiy Boiev, First Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Minister of Economy Oleksiy Sobolev, and Deputy Minister of Energy Roman Andarak. They showcased Ukraine’s potential in sectors such as defence, energy, agriculture processing, transportation, digitalisation, and critical mineral extraction.

Deputy Minister of Defence Serhiy Boiev noted that U.S. businesses expressed interest in investing in Ukraine and expanding cooperation in production. “The capabilities of our defence-industrial complex have significant growth potential, and cooperation with major American businesses can provide a substantial boost,” he said.

Boiev highlighted that Ukraine’s defence industry has already established relationships with leading U.S. defence companies. “The groundwork has been established, and the next step is to expand cooperation and enhance our capacities,” he added.
