US approves sale of HIMARS rocket artillery systems to Croatia

The United States has approved the potential sale of advanced M142 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS) to Croatia, the US State Department announced on Friday. The estimated value of the sale is USD 390 million.

 

The package includes eight HIMARS rocket systems, 24 M30A2 guided artillery rockets, and M31A2 guided artillery rockets. It also covers a range of equipment, training, and logistical support necessary for the operation of the systems.

Lockheed Martin, a leading US defence contractor, will be the main supplier for the deal, according to the State Department’s statement.
