VOP CZ to repair the Ukrainian armoured vehicles

The Czech state-run defence company VOP CZ signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ukrainian arms manufacturer Ukroboronprom for the repair of the armoured vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The memorandum was signed on February 6. It is the first result of the work of Czech-Ukrainian joint defence cluster established in November 2022 by the Czech Intergovernmental Defence Cooperation Agency (AMOS) and Ukroboronprom.

The memorandum contains the detailed plan and schedule of repairs of armoured vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It also includes the supply of spare parts. Repairs of the armoured vehicles will take place in the Czech Republic, emphasized Aleš Vytečka, director of AMOS.

According to the Czech defence ministry, the industrial cooperation that will be launched under the joint defence cluster will cover not only repairs of heavy military equipment but include also cooperation in the field of ammunition, anti-aircraft weapons, radars, rocket launchers, and high technologies.
