According to the article published by Handelsblatt, Ukraine is interested also in the KF41 Lynx, the newest Rheinmetall’s infantry fighting vehicle.
Rheinmetall’s CEO also told the newspaper that deliveries of KF51 Panther to Ukraine could start in 15 to 18 months. The tanks could be produced in Germany or Hungary.
The KF51 Panther is the newest main battle tank developed by Rheinmetall. It was unveiled at the Eurosatory exhibition in June 2022, and Rheinmetall has not yet found the first buyer for this tank.
“It sets new standards across the board – lethality, force protection, situational awareness, connectivity and mobility. With a combat weight of around 59 tons, the KF51 Panther is far more mobile than any current main battle tank. Its main armament, the 130mm Rheinmetall Future Gun System, gives the Panther superior firepower, making it more than a match for all current and foreseeable threats,” Rheinmetall describes the KF51 Panther.
