The fixed call-off represents a net order intake of several hundred million euros and includes an option for additional units to be delivered within the same period. The Laser-Light-Modules are produced by Rheinmetall Soldier Electronics in Stockach on Lake Constance, marking the largest order in the subsidiary’s history.
“We are grateful for the trust that the Bundeswehr has placed in our battle-proven tactical combat enhancers,” said Erkan Yildirim. He added, “The LLM-VarioRay is one of our most versatile devices, and the largest order in our company’s history is an incentive for us to continue delivering cutting-edge technology.”
The LLM-VarioRay is part of the latest generation of Laser-Light-Modules and is primarily used by infantry and dismounted forces to detect, identify and mark targets. The product family is also integrated into the German soldier system Future Soldier – Extended System and is in service with the British and Swiss armed forces.
