Amentum secures USD 279 million contract to enhance U.S. Air Force operations globally

Amentum, a leading global engineering and technology solutions provider, has secured a USD 279 million contract from the United States Air Force. The agreement focuses on delivering advanced aviation operations solutions across the Ninth Air Force (Air Forces Central).

 

This contract highlights Amentum’s pivotal role in enhancing the U.S. military’s mission readiness and operational success. Dr. Karl Spinnenweber, President of Amentum’s Mission Solutions Business Group, stated, “Amentum’s proven expertise in delivering large-scale, complex operations in challenging environments makes us the best partner for the U.S. Air Force on this critical mission.”

Under the agreement, Amentum will provide cutting-edge airfield management, air traffic control, and maintenance services. These solutions will be implemented at key military installations in Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as domestically at Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and Joint Base Langley-Eustis in Virginia.

 

 

Joe Kelly, Senior Vice President of Amentum’s Sustainment and Analytics Business Line, commented on the significance of the program. “This program leverages Amentum’s ability to integrate our advanced technologies into maintenance and operations systems to modernize and enhance key solutions for the Air Force,” he said. “With this contract, we continue to demonstrate our expertise to deliver advanced mission readiness globally, ensuring our forces have the reliable support they require.”

The agreement includes a one-year base period followed by six optional one-year extensions, potentially extending through October 2031. This long-term partnership solidifies Amentum’s enduring role in U.S. defence operations, showcasing its leadership in providing mission-critical solutions.
