Babcock provides support for Ukrainian fighter pilot training programme

By Defence Industry Europe

Babcock International continues to provide essential support to the Ukrainian Air Force, working with the Royal Air Force (RAF) to ensure aircraft are available for training operations. Babcock collaborates with RAF instructors, supplying resources needed to train Ukrainian pilots in fast-jet operations.

This week marked the graduation of the latest group of Ukrainian pilots who completed the Elementary Flying Training (EFT) phase. This phase prepares pilots for the next stage of training on F-16 fighter jets, with 24 Ukrainian pilots having participated in the programme so far this year.

The training programme, led by RAF instructors, includes basic flying skills, ground school education, and language training. Babcock supplies Grob Tutor aircraft and provides technical and operational support to maintain full aircraft availability for the programme.
