This week marked the graduation of the latest group of Ukrainian pilots who completed the Elementary Flying Training (EFT) phase. This phase prepares pilots for the next stage of training on F-16 fighter jets, with 24 Ukrainian pilots having participated in the programme so far this year.

The training programme, led by RAF instructors, includes basic flying skills, ground school education, and language training. Babcock supplies Grob Tutor aircraft and provides technical and operational support to maintain full aircraft availability for the programme.
This initiative forms part of the UK’s contribution to the Air Capability Coalition, which supports the development of a modern air force for Ukraine. As a capability partner, Babcock is committed to providing support for Ukraine’s military training operations.
