BAE Systems highlights innovation and strategic partnerships at IDEX 2025

BAE Systems is set to showcase its latest defence and security innovations at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025, reinforcing its commitment to advancing military capabilities through partnerships and cutting-edge technology. The company will present solutions across land, sea, air, space, and cyber domains, demonstrating its role as a key player in supporting the region’s defence ecosystem.

 

With a long-standing presence in the Middle East, BAE Systems continues to collaborate with governments, industries, and armed forces to enhance sovereign capabilities, create highly skilled jobs, and deliver tailored defence solutions. Speaking on the company’s engagement with the UAE, Jonathan Bird, UAE Country Director at BAE Systems, stated: “The UAE is a key partner for BAE Systems, and we are committed to supporting its thriving defence industry and vision for a secure and prosperous future. Through partnerships, we deliver advanced technologies that address evolving security challenges and contribute to the development of sovereign capabilities.”

At IDEX 2025, BAE Systems will present a diverse portfolio of advanced defence solutions. Among the highlights is the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV), which is currently in service with the US Marine Corps. Designed for versatility, the ACV offers a combination of open-ocean amphibious capability and land mobility, making it well-suited for a range of operational environments, including those in the Middle East.

The company will also showcase Project OdySSEy and CanDLE, a synthetic training system designed to enhance mission readiness through immersive, realistic scenarios. In the space domain, BAE Systems will introduce the Azalea Cluster, a next-generation satellite solution aimed at providing secure and resilient communications for military and defence applications.

Visitors to the BAE Systems stand will also have the opportunity to explore the company’s expertise in cyber defence through an interactive demonstration, highlighting advanced tools for mission-critical operations. Additionally, BAE Systems will display its electronic warfare and precision targeting capabilities, including the APKWS laser guidance kit, GXP geospatial intelligence software, and the Striker II helmet-mounted display, which enhance targeting accuracy and situational awareness in modern combat environments.

In the maritime sector, BAE Systems will present the Herne Extra Large Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (XLAUV), a highly configurable and modular underwater system designed for complex naval operations. The CT40 Cannon and Ammunition, a proven solution that enhances firepower and mission flexibility, will also be on display.
