On May 30, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a video call with representatives of the British defence company BAE Systems: CEO Charles Woodburn, Managing Director Gabby Costigan and Director for cooperation with Ukraine Christian Seear.

According to a statement published on the website of the President of Ukraine, the participants agreed to start work on opening a BAE Systems office in Ukraine, and later on, repair and production facilities for the company’s products.

“We are interested in direct relations with your company, without any intermediaries, not only now, but also in the long term. We are ready to become a major regional hub for the repair and production of various types of your company’s products and are interested in making our relations more global,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
