The Danish Ministry of Defence also confirmed that the next batch of Leopard 1 tanks will be delivered to Ukraine soon.
These deliveries of Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine are part of a joint initiative involving Germany, the Netherlands, and Denmark. In February 2023, these three countries announced a plan to supply the Armed Forces of Ukraine with a large number of Leopard 1A5 tanks, estimated to be over 100 according to unofficial reports.
As reported by Defence Industry Europe, the German federal government has already delivered 20 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks to Ukraine, which were previously maintained and refurbished by the defence company Rheinmetall.
