The overall value of the procurement without value added tax is approximately EUR 103 million, the Finnish Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
“The procurement will be used to expand the existing 155 mm artillery round stockpiles of the Finnish Defence Forces and to improve security of supply,” commented Finnish Minister of Defence Antti Kaikkonen.
“At the same time the procurement allows the defence industry to raise its production capacity of ammunition,” he added.
According to the Finnish Ministry of Defence, the estimated domestic employment effect is 230 person-years.
