The GEM-T missile, a crucial component of the PATRIOT air defence system, is designed to counter cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, hostile drones, and aircraft. The contract, benefiting Germany, the Netherlands, Romania, and Spain, is also open to additional user countries.
At ILA, COMLOG, in collaboration with Raytheon, MBDA Deutschland, and subcontractors Sener and Bayern-Chemie, is showcasing essential system components manufactured in Germany and Europe. MBDA Deutschland is responsible for the assembly of the missiles.
Over 15 subcontractors are involved in the production of the GEM-T missile, emphasizing the extensive collaboration across Europe.
Thomas Gottschild, Managing Director of MBDA Deutschland, commented: “At the ILA, we are presenting the progress of the PATRIOT program within the Bundeswehr’s Military Support Center. We have secured crucial suppliers like Sener and Bayern-Chemie. The new production capacities we are establishing at our headquarters enhance supply security and help replenish Patriot missile stocks.”
