The technical analysis of the integration capabilities of Brandenburg-class frigates with RBS15 Mk3 missiles was commissioned by BAAINBw (Bundesamt für Ausrüstung, Informationstechnik und Nutzung der Bundeswehr, the Federal Office for Equipment, Information Technology, and In-Service Support of the German Armed Forces).
RBS15 Mk3 missiles, co-produced by Saab and Diehl Defence, will replace the outdated MBDA MM38 Exocet missiles on the Brandenburg-class frigates.
