The company recorded €13.5 billion in new orders during the year. Its order backlog increased to €33.1 billion at the end of 2025, up from €23.5 billion a year earlier.
Land Systems Germany generated revenue of €2.5 billion, up 17.4% year on year. Land Systems France reached €1.3 billion, up 9.6%, while the ammunition segment grew 24.7% to €612 million.
KNDS said growth in each segment was driven by increased defence spending and a significant expansion of production capacity. The company said the record intake, including orders from many European countries, showed demand for its systems beyond its home markets of France and Germany.
The company now serves more than 40 armed forces worldwide. It said its systems are deployed in high-intensity environments, including Ukraine, where operational feedback continues to support product upgrades.
KNDS also improved profitability in 2025. EBIT reached €661 million, or 15.0% of sales, compared with €500 million, or 13.2% of sales, in 2024.
The company said the increase reflected operational excellence and the execution of some high-margin export contracts that have now been delivered. Its workforce reached about 11,000 employees at the end of 2025, an increase of 7.3% from 2024.
KNDS plans further hiring in 2026 to support its production ramp-up. It also plans significant investment in manufacturing, assembly capabilities, and research and development.
“2025 was a landmark year for KNDS as a European champion and a global leader in land defense,” said Jean-Paul Alary, Chief Executive Officer of KNDS. “We once again delivered strong revenue growth and record order intake for our business while strengthening our profitability.”
“At the same time, we accelerated the industrial ramp-up of our flagship programs, expanded production capacity across Europe, and advanced the next generation of land defense capabilities, contributing to an interoperable and technologically advanced European defense posture,” Alary said.
“As an architect of integrated land defense solutions, KNDS plays a central role in designing and orchestrating system-of-systems capabilities, connecting platforms, sensors, effectors and digital solutions to enhance battlefield effectiveness,” he added.
“With robust revenue growth, strong operational performance, and a clear strategy focused on innovation, European sovereignty, and partnerships, KNDS entered 2026 with confidence and ambition,” Alary said.
“Through the deployment of our ONE KNDS values and operational excellence model, disciplined investments and increased production capacity, we are fully committed to supporting our customers’ operational needs and efficiently strengthening Europe’s long-term defense capabilities as an innovative mission solutions provider,” he added.
KNDS said 2025 was marked by major industrial and innovation milestones. The group said it reinforced its role as a structural pillar of Europe’s land defence capabilities while advancing next-generation European platforms and autonomous mission solutions.
The LEOPARD 2 A8 main battle tank gained momentum during the year. Firm orders exceeded 300 units across Europe, including from the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and Croatia.
CAESAR production expanded at the company’s Roanne facilities in France. The expansion was supported by additional orders from Lithuania and Croatia.
Modernisation programmes across Europe generated significant volumes, with more than 500 additional combat and support vehicles ordered during the year. These included 222 BOXER RCT 30 vehicles, 84 RCH 155 wheeled howitzers and 200 additional PUMA vehicles.
The SCORPION user community also expanded. KNDS delivered 304 vehicles, including Serval, Griffon and Jaguar platforms, strengthening interoperability and operational convergence among European armed forces.
The company also accelerated work on new capabilities in response to changing battlefield needs. These include the RAPIDFire Land version with Thales and the SERVAL Counter-UAV system.
The Damocles loitering munition range, developed with DELAIR and EOS Technologie, entered service with the French Army at the end of 2025. KNDS said strategic partnerships and targeted investments, including a 10% stake in KYMATI, strengthened capabilities in radar applications for drone and robotics guidance.
To meet demand and deliver its order backlog, KNDS increased production capacity and output across Europe in 2025. It also signed a framework agreement with Alstom to secure the long-term future of the Görlitz site, which is being integrated into the KNDS production network.
The first parts from the Görlitz site were delivered at the end of 2025. In ammunition, KNDS launched an additional automated 155 mm production line in Belgium to strengthen European capacity and meet rising NATO demand.
KNDS said it will continue accelerating through automation, efficiency, capacity expansion and conversion of existing industrial facilities for defence production. It also plans to reinforce supply chain resilience.
The company pointed to growing European and international cooperation, including work with Leonardo in Italy and Leonardo DRS in the United States. It said such agreements show a broader move towards multinational land capability development based on open architectures.
KNDS, Rheinmetall Landsysteme and Thales also established the MGCS Project Company. The company will act as industrial prime contractor for the next phase of the Franco-German Main Ground Combat System programme.
KNDS strengthened its governance in 2025 to prepare for its next phase of growth. Tom Enders was appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors, Jean-Paul Alary became Group CEO, Florian Hohenwarter was appointed CEO of KNDS Deutschland, and Nicolas Groult became CEO of KNDS France.
Christian Schulz, former CFO of RENK Group, joined the Board of Directors as Chair of the Audit Committee. With the full support of the board, KNDS is continuing preparations for a proposed IPO in 2026, subject to market conditions, with a dual listing planned in Frankfurt and Paris.
KNDS said internal work on the planned IPO is progressing with a satisfactory level of readiness and remains in line with the initial schedule. The company also said its board commissioned an independent investigation into a legacy transaction with the Qatar Armed Forces dating back to 2013.
KNDS said the investigation is sufficiently complete to finalise the audit of its 2025 financial statements. The company said it remains committed to strengthening compliance standards and maintaining governance, transparency and best practices across the defence industry.
