Kuldar Väärsi, the founder and shareholder of Milrem Robotics, welcomed Salm’s appointment, highlighting his extensive background in defence.

Milrem Robotics, with offices in Estonia, Finland, Sweden, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United States, is known for its development and integration of cutting-edge robotics and autonomous systems.
The company’s prominent products include the THeMIS and Multiscope Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs), the Type-X Robotic Combat Vehicle, and its MIFIK intelligent autonomous functionalities for defence platforms.
The company has also gained recognition for successfully completing the European Defence Industrial Development Programme (EDIDP) project, iMUGS, which aimed at developing a modular and scalable architecture for hybrid manned-unmanned systems.
