L3Harris Technologies has received a $170 million order from a Central European nation for its Falcon IV family of communication systems. The company said the radios will support ongoing force modernization efforts and strengthen interoperability with U.S. and NATO partners.

The new systems will provide next-generation voice and high-speed data communications. L3Harris said they are designed to strengthen command-and-control architecture.

The Falcon IV radios are intended to improve mission effectiveness and coalition coordination. The company said they will enhance situational awareness, connectivity and performance in contested environments.

“Central Europe is currently undergoing a major modernization of its capabilities, and L3Harris radios are a force multiplier in that transformation,” said Chris Aebli, President, Mission Critical Communications, Communications & Spectrum Dominance, L3Harris. “Our Falcon IV systems provide Europe with assured communications to remain connected regardless of their operating environment.”

L3Harris said it is supporting NATO modernization through programs already under way in Germany, the Netherlands and other allied nations. The company said the adoption of Falcon IV radios will ensure interoperability with these efforts.

The order is expected to strengthen network cohesion and coalition readiness. L3Harris said it will also support long-term mission success for the customer and its partners.
