Northrop Grumman delivers protected tactical satcom payload for advanced space integration

Northrop Grumman has successfully completed the assembly and testing of its Protected Tactical Satcom Rapid Prototype (PTS-P) payload. The payload has now been delivered to the company’s facility in Gilbert, Arizona, where it will be integrated with an ESPAStar-HP bus and next-generation digital processing subsystem.

 

The PTS-P payload, developed in collaboration with the U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command, marks a significant step in advancing satellite communications technology. Designed to be modular, flexible, and scalable, the system offers a pathway to deploy a cutting-edge, anti-jam protected tactical satellite communications architecture.

This innovative system provides reliable and secure communication pathways tailored to individual users. It is designed to withstand adversaries’ efforts to disrupt connections, ensuring dependable communication in contested environments.
