The 24-month service will commence in June 2025 and features Ovzon’s ‘Hero’ SATCOM service, which operates on third-party satellite capacity. A substantial number of Ovzon’s mobile satellite terminals—designed for both manned and unmanned missions—are also included in the agreement.
Of the total order, SEK 220 million is allocated specifically for the mobile satellite terminals. One third of these terminals will be delivered immediately, with the remainder supplied in stages throughout the contract period.
The satellite network services element of the order represents both a renewal and an expansion of a previous agreement signed on 6 September 2024. This development underscores the Swedish Armed Forces’ continued confidence in Ovzon’s capabilities.
“We are honored by the trust that Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) is placing in us and we are committed to deliver on our customer promise,” said Per Norén, CEO of Ovzon. “This is Ovzon’s largest order to date – a clear validation that our Swedish technology meets the most critical operational needs. This order allows us to accelerate in scaling our company and become even more relevant in our key markets.”
